With orders to stay home as much as possible, you’ve likely become very close with your virtual friend Netflix. While it’s an excellent platform for interesting productions or just some light entertainment, their library also includes some useful resources to promote mental health. Next time you are on Netflix, check out a meditation sleep video! 

 

During these times, it’s more important now than ever to support your mental health using tools that will boost your cognitive resilience. Focusing on your self-improvement and learning to perceive what’s happening around you with a positive mindset can impact how you thrive and grow when it seems everything around you has been put on pause. Fortunately, Netflix includes some of these tools on their streaming service, so you don’t have to look too far to find helpful resources to learn mindfulness and relaxation practices.

With elegant orchestral music in the background, it has meditative effects to slow down the body and mind and leave you feeling refreshed and mentally clear after watching. 

 

Many of Schwartzberg’s shots have been considered painting-like, which also helps the viewers receive the sensation that they’re surrounding themselves with nature in the comfort of their homes.

Headspace Guide to Meditation by Headspace

This series is intended to help you start your personal meditation journey and educate you about the science behind the art of meditation. Each episode includes a personal anecdote or facts behind the benefits of meditation on the mind and body. The rest will involve a guided meditation with animated visual cues, so you can watch the branded Headspace visuals with the calming narrative voice to instruct you through mindfulness practice in the episode. You will have no problem finding a meditation sleep video on Headspace!

 

If you binge this series, you may end up overexerting your meditation muscles, so it’s best to watch one a day or every few days when you intend to conduct this practice properly. The episodes have focused themes for their meditation activities, so you can choose ones that apply to you based on your preferred area of focus.
