As a nature lover and photographer, I am often at the mercy of Mother Nature during my shoots. I can prep for weeks down to the smallest detail, but you can never know what will happen once you have your camera set up and start shooting. Having dealt with this constant state of curious uncertainty over the course of my career, I have learned that patience, faith and a sense of wonder will be rewarded by the universe, providing me with the exact conditions I need to get the perfect shot.
Reflection for the week: What positive outcomes can arise by surrendering your mind of preconceived intentions in any aspect of your life?

That’s an interesting question because you get so much encouragement to set clear and specific intentions and then release attachment to the outcome (that’s hard!). I think if you make your intention more vague, like “I intend to bring joy today” and give up a preconceived notion of exactly how that’s going to happen, your positive outcome would be the surprise of meeting the intention in the most unexpected way. Thank you for asking that–you just made my brain work!
